Science fiction
"He, She, and It" blew my mind. It's as cyberpunk as anything else I've read, but also deep in identity, emotion and mythology. Not to mention that the conceptions of the future (as written in 1991) are simply uncanny. I've since picked up "Women on the Edge of Time", written almost two decades earlier, and I'm excited to jump in. I'm confused as to why the Marge Piercy hadn't come up in my periphery before. Her name certainly looms large to me now.
I'm currently reading "The Dispossessed" by Ursula Le Guin. It's certainly captivating, only 50 pages in. Also picked up "Left Hand of Darkness" and "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson. I suspect I'll be busy at least until the new year :)
